Bob Cooke

Bob Cooke is a New York native who relocated to Wilmington in 1995 after having retired from the telecommunications industry. Not content to fully retire, he worked for Bell South for nearly eight years. Completely retired in 2002, he had the opportunity to more fully pursue his passion, the American Civil War. He has a degree in American History from St. Francis College(1978) and has not only authored a work on Wilmington during the Civil War Wild, Wicked Wartime Wilmington, but has written many articles both for magazines and historical societies . He lives in Wilmington with his wife, Joan and a big yellow Labrador named "Indiana."
